From Jim Redmond

Good evening…

I just wanted to let all of you know that on September 27, just a few hours after we got back to Folsom , we received a call from San Francisco Medical Center telling us they had a kidney for Jim.  We turned right around and headed back to the bay area faster than you could imagine.  He had his transplant the morning of the 28th and was released on 10/1 ..3 days after surgery.  He was doing so well and they felt he was ready to go home.  It has almost been a week and he continues to progress with no issues. The kidney came from a 51 yr. old donor so he thinks he will be 52 next year!!  Right!!!  We are so happy and blessed with his progress and the success of medicine of today.  Talk to you all real soon…. (Maureen)

This is great news. We are all getting to that time when we will need the “magic” of medicine.

Jim – enjoy the renewed life in you.
