An invite to smile from Rich Hill Comments Off

An American wise guy of the 20th Century is credited with saying “Middle age went by while I was mourning for my lost youth”. Well, what better place to disavow, pause, mock, embrace, or celebrate that mourning than the BHS Class of 1964 45th Reunion! Come and talk about life just North of 60 with those who knew you when you were just South of 18.
We were together on the threshold of adulthood; why not check in on the threshold of age? There are certainly some life stories to be swapped, some old friendships to be restored, some suburban legends to be debunked, and some self-imposed curfews and doctor’s orders to be ignored. We’re talking possible time travel here!
Kurt Vonnegut was on to something when he wrote “High School is closer to the core of the American experience than anything else I can think of”. We were kids in the same place at the same time. Those experiences sang to us, they hurt us, they tickled us, they scared us, but some of them stuck, and maybe can still bring a smile from somewhere deep. What does your not-for-the-camera smile look like these days? Come show it off in the best of company.
